What’s Up?

You’re welcome, rare visitor!

Isn’t anything happening on this blog right now? Well, I changed my political work to sweet&hot — now occupied sweet&hot. Just click the “occupied” brass instrument on the sidebar to get over there….

What still happens here on this Purgatory Libertarian, are my comments on the great Thom Hartmann’s blog. This happens almost daily. You find them over the header image, if you click the page “For Thom”. You can even click to my comments on Thom’s blog there — that means directly to Thom Hartmann.

I recommend those external notes to you — Thom inspires me a lot.

How Christian Is Our Thanksgiving Mentality?

Jesus wasn’t a family guy. He asked people to leave their families and go on mission.

“Who are my mother and my brother? …. Whoever does the will of God, is my brother, sister and mother.” (Mark 3.33)

Remember? His family was calling, but Jesus was kind of like, ‘So what?’ Would Jesus actually spoil a Thanksgiving family meeting today?

Cranberries—very-very healthy!

Family is natural, necessary and basically positive. But today’s average Americans overemphasize it in our very selfish American way. We close our doors and don’t pay a darn for homeless and starving fellow Americans — not even if they’re struggling veterans. This is not Christian! America isn’t a very Christian country — we’re just great Christianity fakers.

Those (mainly southern) right-wing fundamentalists don’t make us appear more Christian either. They make us even more un-Christian: hating their neighbor. They hate to help the poor — they hate Jesus’ call to love the neighbor. Isn’t this downright heathendom?

I don’t like abortion, but I never vote for those who want nothing but sort of abortion prohibition. Because they’re not ready to do a thing for poor children. They don’t give a darn if mothers with little children are homeless and starving. They will make abortion even worse.

So why vote for those who actually hate children, just because they’re raving against abortion? They’re not doing anything — they’re just talking.

Happy Thanksgiving! …. Eat cranberries — it’s healthier for you and the turkeys.

Trade With, But Distinguish From China!

I hesitated some time to say something about President Obama’s China visit. Trade without China probably is impossible in our days — China is becoming an important power in the world, a new empire.

What we basically have to watch, is ourselves distinguishing from countries like China. Since Reagan, we developed backwards — in direction to a developing country like China. This is actually what today’s GOP wants — at least they don’t find it awkward to go China’s way: Do away with human rights, social security, education for the majority and high quality infrastructure. That means, finally do away with 1st World Standards.

The point is, if we can be sure, that we’re totally different from a country like China, we’re able to have trade with them — and though insist on 1st World values and standards. But if we trample on human rights ourselves, we get into the awkward position of being unsettled about our own values and moral.

In private life we actually do the same thing. There’s a man in my house who seems to have a crush on me, but I’m shunning him as good as I can. Why? His language is rather violent and hostile to foreign looking people. Once he was talking about his criminal past: it sounds very much like he was a drug dealer, as he bragged about his skills how to break a door….
As long as he likes to be a monkey, I have to distinguish from him. In case he needs sugar, he can get some, but then it’s rather, “Have a nice day, we don’t have much time (haha, white lie…)” Meeting him in the hallway, I’m usually like, “Hi!” — half a second later he can watch my jet trail.

One should always deal politely with monkeys in the neighborhood, but never adjust to them. That means, not to adjust to their language, thinking and acting. Always demonstrate them: “We are different! You’re invited to become like us! But we’ll never be like you’re right now and we don’t play your game!”
Most people don’t wanna change and they will never change — so it’s rather “Hi!”, jet trail and fast sugar.

This is about self-assurance, keeping our values and moral. We don’t want to develop back to Chinese monkey standards. And this is why we have to do away with our own U.S. monkey standards! We need a broad middle class with high education level. We need to do away with uneducated masses that utter primitive and violent language like in 3rd World countries. We can’t afford those poor children suffering in Texas. Most important is education!! Educated folks don’t act like monkeys, they’re not likely to vote for death penalty and they mostly behave like decent people.

We need to do away with monkeys like Walker and have a Democratic candidate run against him in March. Then hopefully go on in Ohio, as get the Democratic majority back in Congress, to take back America and undo Reagan’s and Bush’s monkey business. To be totally frank: presently we’re standing somewhere between the 1st World (basically Canada and Northwest Europe) and Countries like China. And this is basically the fault of Reagan and Bush. Presently we are facing a tough crucial decision: We can go ahead the GOP way in 2012 and that would be terrible. This way leads to banana state standard!!

No, I want the U.S. becoming part of the 1st World a 100%, instead of developing backwards. And then trade with China, while insisting on those 1st World standards with clean and clear conscience. This is what we fight for until November 2012 and we won’t rest!

Take Us Back?

In things Pennsylvanian child abuse I just heard a good question on NBC: “Was there a conspiracy of silence?” In a red state….of course! I mean, I don’t wonder.

Since this is a Republican mentality anyway: Women sexually harassed by Herman Cain? No reason to question the candidate. “So what?”….Or what? I don’t claim Republicans don’t care at all, but they care less and they don’t care enough: People jobless, homeless and starving? “Blame yourself!” Children in distress?…. Well, not our children at least. Not the children of our lobby.

Rick Perry feels: “Social security is a Ponzi scheme.” And he actually cut social security down in Texas — leaving many children of his state in distress. In fact all the Republican scourges have to do with being backwards in history.

  • In the past there were many child abuses and there were conspiracies of silence.
  • In the past were people living in distress and children died of hunger.
  • In the past women were sexually harassed and the society didn’t care.

You really want to live in a historical behind America, as the GOP stands for? No, I think most Americans have already seen the dimension: Those guys would take us back to the state of a Third World country. They would!

War on the Teabaggers

Fighting the political opponent in the streets is basic campaigning. Today I start my personal fight in the streets of my town. Provocation is always a good way, in order to attack the other side, or meet other progressives.

How do you like my brand-new anti-teabaggers button?

This is a nice beginning, but of course it’s not all. Stay tuned not to miss my further campaign actions…..

Kissing America to Death

The Bible helps me a lot to understand these days: Human kind is inclined to evil. So I’m not so very frightened anymore, if the evil appears even in a Democratic city like Oakland. Teargas against a peaceful sleeping camp with children and babies in it! The Republicans now can feel like, “See here, not only we are evil!”

But if I compare Obama to average people in the world — above all to politicians, I come to the conclusion, he’s the only choice for November 2012. He’s honest, he has goodness. I’m much more a socialist than he is. But we can’t afford the attitude, “All or nothing at all” these days. America’s still struggling with the post-Bush inheritance. Another GOP presidency would mean a downgrade to 3rd world conditions. Even non-voting would mean kissing America to death. I don’t wanna know how many of those kisses America is able to take, for I need to sleep nights.

That’s Marxism!

The day before yesterday Ed Schultz had a conservative on the phone, who claimed: Going back to President Clinton’s tax rate was “Marxism”! And that sucker was really believing to talk about “philosophy”!!

I must say, hadn’t had such a good laugh for some time……..Trust me, if you tell that your high school history teacher, you’re done — he will always recall you as major dope. Qualitatively it’s not crazier than, “I just decided, today I’ll buy tomatoes instead of potatoes…….Noooo! That’s Marxism!!” For every decently educated human knows, Marx’s theory is mighty complex. But there’s your tea baggers and other bunch of crazy conservatives. They get to preschool level anyway.  Not much more logical skills than above tomato.

Tea bagger math:    x % + y % = ☭

Yesterday Michelle Bachmann said: Every single dollar you earn belongs to you — makes zero percent tax! That isn’t Marxism — it’s pure Anarchism! These crazies are anarchists!! Who will actually pay Bachmann as Congress woman, if nobody pays even a single dollar tax?!
